• Two lists
Because of the sequence of a session, it will go more smoothly if you create two lists of questions. One list is for physical symptoms and the other one is for mental, emotional, and spiritual questions, combined. What are the questions you most want answered about your life?
  • Give your questions some time and thought
At least a few days before your session, start thinking about what you want to ask. Jot down questions as they come to you.
Putting each one on a separate sticky note or cutting and pasting can help organize them, while still letting you change your mind as often as you’d like.
  • Open-ended questions
Questions that begin with “what”, “how” or “why” lead to responses that give you the most information. Asking questions that could be answered with yes or no, or in one or two words may not give you the deeper understanding you’re looking for.
    What could I do…?”,
What do I need to know to improve/get past…?”,
How can I best handle or get the best results in this situation?”,
What do I need to learn from…?”,
Why do I continue to do…?”
If you have any trouble making your questions open-ended, I can help you with them before we need to use them in the session.
  • How many questions?
A total of about 20-30 questions (both lists combined) seems to work well for the amount of time we spend with your higher self. If you don’t have that many, don’t worry. If you have pages more, look for repetition and themes to help trim down the number. We’ll also go over your lists in depth to be sure I understand what you’re looking for, before you’re in the highly relaxed state.
  • Prioritize
This is where the sticky notes or digital text come in handy. It helps make sure you get answers for the most important issues first. Think, “If I could only ask one question, what would it be?” and continue that way until you’re satisfied with the order of all of them.
  • Final copy
These lists guide a significant part of your session. Please make sure to bring them.
It’s also helpful if the list is typed.

When you list any physical issues, describe the symptoms, rather than a diagnostic label.

It may be easier to start at your head and work your way down your body. Indicate any medications you may be currently taking.

When we work with your higher self, it can also do a body scan to determine where there are blockages, damage or illness. I’ve had sessions where the client didn’t mention an issue, but the higher self found it in a scan and worked on it right then and there.

  • I’ve had lower back pain for years. What’s causing it? How can I get relief from it?
  • How can I reduce my cravings for… [sweets, alcohol, drugs, etc.]?
  • What can I do to regain the energy I used to have?
  • What is keeping me from losing/gaining weight?
  • How can I release the trauma I have in my body from...?

Note any medications you’re taking and what they’re being used for.

  • How can I stop being so judgmental?
  • How can I change the way I respond to/think about…?
  • What would best help me change the habit I have of…?
  • What type of career would be most suitable for me?
  • Why do I replay social situations over and over?
  • How can I change this behavior?

Our emotions are part of our inner guidance system.

  • Why am I so afraid of…? How can I release that fear?
  • What is the source of my anxiety? How can I feel more at peace?
  • How can I heal the grief from the death of my… [spouse, child, friend, pet, etc.]?
  • How can I best support my… [child, spouse, friend, colleague, client]?
  • I’ve felt guilty (without having done anything wrong) all of my life. What can I do to release that?

One of the most common spiritual questions asked is “What is my purpose in this life?”

  • What hidden talents or gifts do I have that I could develop further?
  • What relationship(s) did I have with my [mother, brother, ex-spouse, best friend, etc.] in a past life?
  • How can I grow spiritually?
  • What do I most need to learn from this situation?
  • What was that paranormal experience about, that happened to me as a child?

These are just some examples of the endless possibilities for your session questions!
